Amb. Maj Gen (Rtd) Mugisha Nathan is Deputy Head of Mission at the Uganda Embassy Mogadishu, Somalia. He was a former Force Commander of Africa Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) between Aug, 2009 to Jun, 2011; prior to that, he had been the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of Sinior Command Staff College, Kimaka (SCSC) Aug, 2007 to Jun, 2009. He commands a wealth of knowledge in counter insurgency / terrorism and conflict management having actively particiated in successful counter insurgency between 1987 to 2005 where he held various command and admnistrative responsibilities in UPDF while conducting operations both within and out of Uganda. Maj Gen (Rtd) Mugisha Nathan is a graduate of (USA) Army War College, and has a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.
